Follow me or stop your quacking.
One of the things I have been reading is that this whole secession thing is about taxation without representation. Well since we are not a colony of England and we do have our own form of government and if you do vote then you have representation, the real problem is you just don't talk to those who are supposed to represent you.
"what you talkin' bout dog?"
I am talking about laziness folks, I am talking about people who may go and vote and that's the last thing they do beside bitch and moan and think that is being a part of the process.
I and others have said it here many times, you must e-mail, write or phone your representatives to get your voice heard. As soon as any of us say this we always hear the excuse "well they would not listen to us anyways so why bother." And there you have it, laziness and a poor excuse and the big reason those representatives are not representing you and your interests. They never hear your voice, they only hear the voices of lobbyists for special interests. Aren't you a special interest to them too? They need your vote so they better make you special or else!
If you have time to sign some silly petition to leave the country that does nothing but show your displeasure about the way things are going then you have time to e-mail your representatives also. You know, the people you voted for, they are there and you don't even bother to stay in touch and have your issues heard.
If you have time to debate and comment here then you have got a lot of time to create petitions, e-mails and letters to send off to them everyday.
So, write a real paper petition, go around and have friends, family and neighbors sign it and send it in to your representatives. Create an article here with e-mail ideas and give out the address of your representatives and get others to do the same and get those voices heard in those offices of your representatives.
An avalanche starts with one snow flake falling on top of another till it builds up so much that the whole thing moves and changes the landscape.
You are either going to be a part of this whole process of "for the people and by the people" or you are going to be one of those fake secessionists who bitch, moan and point fingers and do nothing more than become just a tiny part of the great media outrage machine.
Get to work or just raise your blood pressure. It's as simple as that.
Don't just do this once, do it monthly, do it weekly get that voice out there and into those offices of our representatives.
At least it will make you feel like you are doing something and after a while it will be one more of those snow flakes that create the avalanche.
Nudge the political landscape everyday not just during election time.
